High School Sports Activities

Sigonella Middle / High School offers a well-rounded athletic inter-scholastic program in the American School in Italy League (ASIL). Athletic programs are an integral part of the total educational offerings of a school and enhance the physical, mental, social, and emotional growth of each participant. Home practice sessions and games are scheduled outside of the academic day. Close professional supervision is maintained to ensure that participants receive adequate instruction for safe, effective participation. Athletic schedules for the following sports are in the school calendar:

Middle School Activities

Middle School Sports Program

Middle School Running Club  Sigonella MS/HS Running Jaguars is a running club held after school twice a week.  Students compete in local competitions and learn running strategies. 

Teen Clinic  Naval Hospital Sigonella offers Adolescent Health Clinic Services in the school every Tuesday.  Services provided include routine school sports physicals, acute care for illnesses, chronic care follow-up, and Immunization services.  In addition, with parent permission for students under the age of 15, counseling and education services are provided regarding risk-taking behaviors.  Parents must sign permission forms for students to be seen in the school setting.

**After school athletics for middle school and elementary school age students are the responsibility of Youth Services  -  not DoDDS-E. DoDDS-E does not have authority nor does it receive funding to initiate such services.
